What we do
We challenge you to discover what that wonderful but sometime also complicated word ‘Beauty’ means to you.
Why we do it
The world is full of distractions and temptations. Sometimes it’s useful to sit down and take a moment to contemplate what really is important in our lives.
How we do it:
We created an inspiring open online questionnaire, with questions about the most interesting dilemma’s around beauty. A true instrument that helps you discover what makes life worth living for you.
At the heart of Project Beauty is refelective cultural survey into perceptions of beauty. The character of the study is exploratory, which means no definition of beauty is given: it is up to the participants to determine its meaning.
The core method used is web-survey. The questionnaire contains over 40 closed as well as a numbet of open questions. In addition, participants were asked to illustrate their view of beauty with a picture or a piece of music.
Since the start of Project Beauty in 2007 now over 10.000 people participated and shared their views on this wonderful but also sometimes complicated phenomenon called ‘beauty’. The findings from Project Beauty are summarized in the ‘Seeking Beauty’ books and in regularly appearing blog texts. See your specific country section to find the book for your region.
So far, the survey been carried out in seven countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and recently also in Peru. In the UK and the Netherlands the benchmarks already have been replicated.
Project Beauty is social enterprise, carried out by a group of experienced friends from different professional walks of life. Over the years the project has been suppported by numerous genrous individuals and a number of great companies who contributed with their knowledge and assets. We are grateful to: Dynata, Panelbase, Blauw Research, Datum International.
